monies or other trust monies, of whatever kind or nature, such monies,
in the absence of written instructions to the contrary, shall be expedi-
tiously deposited in a non interest bearing account maintained by him
as a separate account or accounts for funds belonging to others, and
said funds shall be retained in such account or accounts until the
transaction involved is consummated or terminated, or until written
instructions have been received by him directing the withdrawal and
other disposition of such funds, at which time all such funds shall be
promptly and fully accounted for by him. In no event shall he here-
under INSTRUCTIONS OR COURT ORDER TO THE CONTRARY
SHALL BE EXPEDITIOUSLY DEPOSITED IN AN ACCOUNT
MAINTAINED AS A SEPARATE ACCOUNT OR ACCOUNTS
FOR FUNDS BELONGING TO OTHERS. IN NO EVENT SHALL
HE commingle any such funds with his own or use any such funds
for any purpose other than the purpose for which such funds were
entrusted to him.
(b) Any attorney wilfully violating the provisions of this section
shall be charged with professional misconduct, malpractice, or con-
duct prejudicial to the administration of justice and may SHALL be
proceeded against for reprimand, suspension, or disbarment under any
applicable provision of this article or any other law or the Maryland
Rules.
(c) Any attorney wilfully violating the provisions of this sec-
tion, in addition to the penalties set forth in subsection (b) hereof,
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor for each such violation and on con-
viction thereof, shall be fined not more than Ten FIVE Thousand
Dollars ($10,000.) ($5,000.) or be imprisoned for not more than ten
(10) FIVE (5) years, or both in the discretion of the Court.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That if any provision of this Act
or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held
invalid for any reason, such invalidity shall not affect the other
provisions or any other application of this Act which can be given
effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end,
all the provisions of this Act are hereby declared to be severable.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1968.

AN ACT to add new Section 706(d) to Article 66C of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1967 Replacement Volume), title "Natural
Resources," subtitle "Oysters and Clams," to follow immediately
after Section 706(c) thereof, to authorize the Department of
Chesapeake Bay Affairs to designate buying stations where oysters
and clams may be sold by the catcher, making it unlawful for a
catcher to sell or a buyer to buy oysters and clams from a catcher
