(1967 REPLACEMENT VOLUME AND 1967 SUPPLEMENT),
TITLE "NATURAL RESOURCES," SUBTITLE "OYSTERS
AND CLAMS" MAKING SOFT SHELL CLAM HYDRAULIC
DREDGE LICENSING REQUIREMENTS IN ANNE ARUNDEL
COUNTY INAPPLICABLE TO MARYLAND RESIDENTS WHO
HAVE BEEN HONORABLY OR MEDICALLY DISCHARGED
FROM THE ARMED SERVICES OF THE UNITED STATES,
AND HAVE RETURNED TO LIVE IN ANNE ARUNDEL
COUNTY.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 338B be and it is hereby added to Article 43 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume), title
"Health," subtitle "Plumbing," to follow immediately after Section
338A thereof and to read as
follows:

In Anne Arundel County the rules and regulations governing the
basic character and location of plumbing, water supply, sanitary

and storm water drainage and sewage disposal systems and the

installation, operation and maintenance of such systems shall be
those provided in the seventh draft of the proposed revision of the

State Plumbing Code drafted by the Committee on Revision of the

Maryland State Plumbing Code, with the exception that the admin-

istrative authority shall be designated by the county government of

Anne Arundel County. These regulations are in lieu of any other

such state or county regulations and supersede such other regula-

tions except that the provisions of this subtitle concerning the quali-
fications and certification of persons in plumbing work shall be
applied in Anne Arundel County, and no local provisions concerning
the qualifications and certification of such persons may be
applied in

that county.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That all laws or parts of laws,

public general or public local, inconsistent with the provisions of
this Act are hereby repealed to the extent of any such inconsistency.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect

July 1, 1968.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEM-
BLY OF MARYLAND, THAT SECTION 714B (C) (1) OF ARTICLE
66C OF THE ANNOTATED CODE OF MARYLAND (1967 RE-
PLACEMENT VOLUME AND 1967 SUPPLEMENT), TITLE
"NATURAL RESOURCES," SUBTITLE "OYSTERS AND
CLAMS," BE AND IT IS HEREBY REPEALED AND RE-EN-
ACTED, WITH AMENDMENTS, TO READ AS FOLLOWS:

714B.

(C) (1) THE MASTER, CAPTAIN, OPERATOR AND CREW
OF SUCH HYDRAULIC OR MECHANICAL DREDGE SHALL
HAVE BEEN A BONA FIDE RESIDENT OF ANNE ARUNDEL
COUNTY FOR A PERIOD OF FIVE (5) YEARS NEXT PRECED-
ING HIS APPLICATION FOR A LICENSE HEREUNDER, AND
HE SHALL HAVE HAD A TONGING LICENSE AS PROVIDED
