and to use the same in connection with the Baltimore City Hos-
pitals; to repeal Chapter 226 of the Laws of Maryland of 1967
which authorized the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to
borrow Three Million Nine Hundred Thousand Dollars ($3,900,000)
and to use the same for urban renewal purposes; to repeal Chapter
227 of the Laws of Maryland of 1967 which authorized the Mayor
and City Council of Baltimore to borrow Five Million Five Hun-
dred Thousand Dollars ($5,500,000) and to use the same for off-
street parking purposes; to repeal Chapter 268 of the Laws of
Maryland of 1967 which authorized the Mayor and City Council
of Baltimore to borrow Twenty Million Dollars ($20,000,000) and
to use the same in connection with school buildings and auxiliary
facilities; and to repeal Chapter 739 of the Laws of Maryland of
1967 which authorized the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore
to borrow Four Million Dollars ($4,000,000) and to use the same
in connection with the Friendship International Airport.
Whereas, the hereinafter mentioned chapters of the Laws of
Maryland of 1967 authorized the Mayor and City Council of Balti-
more to borrow various amounts of money and to use the same for
a variety of purposes; and
Whereas, the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore has not exer-
cised any of the power or authority granted to it by the provisions
of said Acts; and
Whereas, said Acts generally duplicate other Acts enacted by the
General Assembly of Maryland at its 1967 Session, so that the here-
inafter mentioned chapters of the Laws of Maryland of 1967 are
not now needed; now therefore
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Chapters 225, 226, 227, 268 and 739 of the Laws of Maryland
of 1967 be and they are hereby repealed.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1968.

AN ACT to reduce the total amount of debt which the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore is authorized to create under the terms
and provisions of Chapter 9 of the Laws of Maryland of 1944
(Extraordinary Session) from the amount of Seven Million Dol-
lars ($7,000,000.00) to an amount not exceeding Five Million
Four Hundred Thousand Dollars ($5,400,000.00), and providing
that nothing in this Act shall change, alter, modify or release: (a)
Any of the terms and provisions of said Chapter 9 except in the
manner and to the extent set forth in this Act; (b) Any of the
obligations or liabilities which said municipality has incurred or
