of 1967 and for the expenses of said Session, including mileage and
expenses of the members, printing, binding, and miscellaneous
expenses.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That the Treasurer of the State
shall, upon the warrant of the Comptroller, disburse the said sum of
money herein appropriated for the objects and purposes herein speci-
fied, to or upon the order of the person or persons entitled to receive
the same.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby declared
to be an emergency measure and necessary for the immediate preser-
vation of the public health and safety, and having been passed by a
yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of all the members elected
to each of the two Houses of the General Assembly of Maryland, the
same shall take effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to add new Section 17D to Article 77 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume and 1966 Supple-
ment), title "Public Education", subtitle "Chapter 2. Formation
of Boards", to follow immediately after Section 17C thereof, pro-
viding certain residential requirements for the members of the
County Board of Education in Baltimore County and making pro-
vision also for the gradual implementation of the provisions of
this Act.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 17D be and it is hereby added to Article 77 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume and 1966
Supplement), title "Public Education", subtitle "Chapter 2. Forma-
tion of Boards", to follow immediately after Section 17C thereof,
and to read as follows:
17D. The seven members who comprise the county board of edu-
cation in Baltimore County shall respectively be residents of the
seven senatorial subdistricts; and any member who does not retain
his residential qualification shall at the time of removing his resi-
dence from the district he represents no longer be a member of the
board.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That nothing in this Act shall
be construed or applied to affect the tenure of the several members
of the Board of Education of Baltimore County who are in such
positions on the effective date of this Act, for the remainder of the
terms in which they respectively then are serving. This Act shall
