rate of interest to be charged upon the repayment of a hospital
loan, and to provide for the effect of these changed conditions on
loans approved prior to the effective date of this Act.

Senate Bill No. 569—By Senators Snyder, Bishop, Byron, Hoyer and
Welcome.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 109, 117,
110, 111, 112, 113, 119, 124 and 126 of Article 41 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume), title "Governor—
Executive and Administrative Departments", subtitle "The Execu-
tive Department", subheading "Department of Parole and Proba-
tion"; to repeal Sections 108 and 116 , 116 AND 117 of the said
Article, subtitle and subheading of the Code; to add new Sections
122A, 122B and 127A, respectively, to the said Article, subtitle
and subheading of the Code, to follow respectively immediately
after Sections 122 and 127 thereof; and to repeal and re-enact,
with amendments, Section 672 (a) of Article 27 of the said Code
(1966 Supplement), title "Crimes and Punishments", subtitle
"Places of Reformation and Punishment", subheading "Depart-
ment of Correction", subheading "Advisory Board"; to separate
the functions of the Board of Parole and Probation from the
Department of Parole and Probation in order to provide that the
Board shall hear and decide cases of parole and that the Depart-
ment shall supervise the activities of persons placed on parole or
probation, to change the name of the Board to the Parole Board,
AND TO PROVIDE FOR ITS MEMBERS AND THEIR POW-
ERS AND DUTIES, and to make other necessary changes in the
laws of the Stater AND TO PROVIDE FOR THE RIGHTS AND
DUTIES OF EMPLOYEES OF THE BOARD AND THE DE-
PARTMENT.

Upon motion of Mr. Hughes, duly seconded, the said bill was made
the Special Order for June 22,1967 at 3:08 o'clock P.M.

Senate Bill No. 628—By Senator G. Hughes.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 108 (1)
of Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Justices of the Peace", subtitle "Trial Mag-
istrates System", to increase the annual salaries of the trial magis-
trates of Allegany County sitting at Cumberland.

Upon motion of Mr. Hughes, duly seconded, the said bill was made
the Special Order for June 22,1967 at 3:09 o'clock P.M.

Senate Bill No. 637—By Senator G. Hughes.

AN ACT to repeal Section 228 of Article 48A of the Annotated Code
of Maryland, (1964 Replacement Volume), title "Insurance", sub-
title "Unfair Trade Practices", and to re-enact a new Section 228
to stand in the place of the section so repealed and to be under
the new subheading "Coerced and Tie-in Sales Prohibited", to
provide that it shall be unlawful to require any person as a con-
dition to the receipt of a loan or any other consideration to buy
