CHAPTER 86
(House Bill 622)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 68 (i) of
Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and
1966 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Renewal
of Licenses," to require the presentation of information from the
Treasurer of Charles County, evidencing payments of personal
property taxes before an alcoholic beverage license may be renewed
in the County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 68 (i) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition and 1966 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages,"
subtitle "Renewal of Licenses," be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

68.

(i) In Charles County, no renewal of any license may be made
as authorized in subsection (a) of this section unless there is
presented to the Board, a receipt or certificate from the [Supervisor
of Assessments] Treasurer of the County showing there are no
unpaid taxes on the merchandise, fixtures and stock of the licensee
due to the County or any municipal corporation in the county in
which the licensed premises are located.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.

CHAPTER 87
(House Bill 957)

AN ACT to repeal Chapter 419 of the 1961 Laws of Maryland which
authorized the Board of County Commissioners of Charles County
to borrow $250,000.00 for the erection of a new hospital.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Chapter 419 of the 1961 Laws of Maryland be and they are
hereby repealed.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.
