28-14. "State" and "presidential election" defined.

As used in this subtitle, "state" includes the District of Columbia
and "presidential election" means an election at which electors of
President and Vice-President are elected.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That if any provision of this
Act or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is
held invalid for any reason, such invalidity shall not affect the other
provisions or any other application, of this Act which can be given
effect without the invalid provisions or application, and to this end,
all the provisions of this Act are hereby declared to be severable.

SEC. 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, THAT NOT-
WITHSTANDING ANY OTHER PROVISIONS OF THIS ACT
AND SPECIFICALLY NOTWITHSTANDING THE PROVISIONS
OF SECTION 5-2(B) OF THIS ACT, THE DAY FOR HOLDING
THE PRIMARY ELECTION FOR MUNICIPAL OFFICES IN
BALTIMORE CITY IN THE YEAR 1967 ONLY SHALL BE
THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 7, 1967.

Sec. 3 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June JULY 1, 1967.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 82 and
83 of Article 100 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Re-
placement Volume and 1966 Supplement), title "Work, Labor and
Employment," subtitle "Wage and Hour Law," redefining the
words "Employer" and "Employee," and increasing the mini-
mum wage provided to $1.25
CHANGE CERTAIN DEFINITIONS
UNDER THE STATE MINIMUM WAGE LAW AND TO IN-
CREASE THE MINIMUM WAGE PAID IN THE STATE AND
TO ADD NEW SECTION 91A TO SAID ARTICLE, TO FOLLOW
IMMEDIATELY AFTER SECTION 91 THEREOF, OF SAID
CODE, TO PROVIDE THAT RIGHTS OF EMPLOYEES UNDER
THE FEDERAL FAIR LABOR STANDARDS ACT WILL NOT
BE DIMINISHED BY THE MARYLAND WAGE AND HOUR
LAW.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 82 and 83 of Article 100 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume and 1966 Supplement), title
"Work, Labor and Employment," subtitle "Wage and Hour Law,"
be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
AND TO ADD NEW SECTION 91A TO SAID ARTICLE OF
SAID CODE, TO FOLLOW IMMEDIATELY AFTER SECTION
91 THEREOF, AND ALL to read as follows:
