"OATH

OF PERSON WHO ASKS THAT A NAME BE REMOVED
FROM THE REGISTRY

fied voter in the................precinct of the................district or ward

of........................................ County or Baltimore City, on the ground

thorized to administer oaths)

Maryland law requires that any person objecting to the registra-
tion of any voter must appear in person to substantiate such objec-
tion by affirmative proof. Wilful failure to appear at the hearing
on such challenge is subject to imprisonment for not less than thirty
days nor more than six months, or a fine not exceeding five hundred
dollars, or both."

3-17. Removal because of change of address; forms.

(a)    When the board shall learn that a registered voter has re-
moved from the ward, election district or precinct in which he is
registered and within six months from the date of such removal
has not applied to the board to have his address changed on his
registration records, the board shall notify the voter by United States
first class mail sent to his address as it appears on the board's
registration records that if he does not advise the board by a signed
writing of his correct address within two weeks of the date appear-
ing on the notice, his name will be removed from the registration
records and he will have to reregister before he can vote in future
elections.

(b) (1) Where any voter has removed from the county or Balti-
more City, in which he is registered to vote, to another county or
Baltimore City he shall apply to the board of the county or Balti-
more City to which he has removed, for registration, provided such
voter will have been a resident of such county or of a legislative
district of Baltimore City for six months by the date of the next
general election. He shall be registered in the manner provided in
this article, and shall state the fact of his removal from such other
county or Baltimore City. The voter shall sign and acknowledge
before a person duly authorized to administer oaths, including em-
ployees of the board authorized by the board to do so, an authoriza-
tion to cancel his previous registration on a form substantially as
follows:
