and points outside thereof, without a written permit from the Com-
mission.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.

AN ACT to add anew Section 120A to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Howard County (1965 Edition, being Article 14 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Howard County," to be
under a new subtitle "Electrical Business," to follow immediately
after Section 120 thereof, empowering the County Commissioners
of Howard County to exercise general supervision and control
over the conduct of the electrical business in said County, to make
regulations in order to supervise and control the conduct of such
business, providing for the appointment of an Electrical Adminis-
trative Board to administer and enforce such regulations, and
providing penalties for the violation of such regulations.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 120A be and it is added to the Code of Public Local
Laws of Howard County (1965 Edition, being Article 14 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Howard County,"
to be under a new subtitle "Electrical Business," to follow imme-
diately after Section 120 thereof, and to read as follows:
Electrical Business
120A.
(a) The County Commissioners of Howard County are hereby
authorized and empowered to have and exercise within Howard
County general supervision and control over the conduct of the elec-
trical business, including, but not limited to, the business of installing,
erecting or repairing, or contracting to install, erect or repair electric
wires or conductors, to be used for the transmission of electric
current for electric light, heat or power purposes, or mouldings,
ducts, raceways or conduits for the reception or protection of such
wires or conductors, and the installation, maintenance, repair and
use of any electrical machinery, apparatus, devices or fixtures.
(b) Said County Commissioners shall have the power and are
hereby authorized to make and from time to time to amend, supple-
ment and repeal, such rules and regulations for the issuance of
licenses to conduct such business, the examination of applicants
therefor, the issuance of permits for such work, the inspection of
such work, and such other regulations as they may from time to time
find necessary and proper in order to supervise and control the con-
duct of the electrical business in the public interest, and in order to
