to the several offices, departments, boards, commissions, and other
agencies of the county government.
(14) To examine, audit, and approve all bills, demands, or charges
against the county and to determine their regularity, legality, and
correctness.
(15) To supervise and manage for the county, the purchase of
materials, goods, and service, following accepted and proper purchas-
ing procedures.
(16) To perform such other duties and functions as may be as-
signed to him from time to time by the Board of County Commis-
sioners.
(d) In the temporary absence of the County Administrator, the
Board of County Commissioners may appoint an Acting County Ad-
ministrator. During the period of holding this position, the Acting
County Administrator has all the powers, duties, functions, and
responsibilities of the office of the County Administrator.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.

(House Bill 950)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 19 (f)
and 97 of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957
Edition and 1966 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages," sub-
titles "Beer, Wine and Liquor Licenses," and "Hours and Days for
Sale," to re-define applicant eligible for Class B beer, wine and
liquor licenses in Dorchester County and to allow certain alco-
holic beverage sales in said County during certain hours on Sunday.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 19(f) and 97 of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1957 Edition and 1966 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Bev-
erages," subtitles "Beer, Wine and Liquor Licenses" and "Hours and
Days for Sale," be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

(f) In Dorchester County, bona fide restaurants, motels and hotels
[having 20 or more rooms, and] having restaurant facilities for
serving full-course meals at least twice daily and seating capacity at
tables for [125] 100 or more persons, not including seats at bars
or counters, upon payment of an annual license fee of two hundred
fifty dollars ($250.00) may obtain a license from the County Com-
missioners of Dorchester County and by such license shall be entitled
to sell beer, wines and liquors for on the premises consumption be-
tween the hours of 7:00 o'clock A.M. and 1:00 o'clock A.M. on the
