yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of the members elected
to each of the two houses of the General Assembly, the same shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 313
(House Bill 876)

AN ACT to add new Section 272 to the Code of Public Local Laws
of Calvert County (1963 Edition, being Article 5 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Calvert County," to
follow immediately after Section 271 thereof, to be under the new
subtitle "Wharves and Landings," to grant the public an ease-
ment over roads in Calvert County to certain wharves and land-
ings and specifying that these roads shall not be closed without
a public hearing.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 272 be and it is hereby added to the Code of
Public Local Laws of Calvert County (1963 Edition, being Article 5
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Calvert
County," to follow immediately after Section 271 thereof, and to
read as follows:

LANDINGS

272.

The public shall have an easement or right of way over any
roads or ways in Calvert County leading to any of the following
wharves or landings: Lyons Creek, Ferry Landing, Lower Marl-
boro, Holland Cliff, Deep Landing, Leitch's Wharf, Holland Point,
Duke's Wharf, Williams' Wharf, Parker's Wharf, Mackall's Wharf,
Sollers' Wharf, Solomons Wharf, Governors Run, Dares Beach and
Plum Point. The purpose of such easement or right of way is solely
for access to the wharves and landings and enjoyment of the wharves
and landings by the public. The County Commissioners shall not
allow such roads to be closed until after a public hearing with due
notice in one or more newspapers in the county.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.
