(14) Perform such additional duties as may from time to time
be assigned by the judges of the Seventh Judicial Circuit.

(e)  The County Commissioners for Calvert County, Charles
County, St. Mary's County and Prince George's County shall make
all levies and appropriations necessary to provide for the payment of
the salaries, compensation, expenses and other costs properly incurred
under or by the provisions of this subtitle.

(f)  The authority of the judges of the Seventh Judicial Circuit to
appoint other administrative or clerical personnel is not limited by
any provision of this subtitle.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That if any word, phrase,
clause, section, or other provision of this Act is declared unconstitu-
tional or invalid by a court of final appeal, the unconstitutionality
or invalidity shall not affect any other word, phrase, clause, section
or provision of this Act, and to this end the provisions of this Act
are declared severable.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall be and re-
main effective until the effective date of any rules or regulations
which may be hereafter adopted by the Maryland Court of Appeals
pertaining to the administration of the respective Circuit Courts
of Maryland, and on said date, with no further action required by
the General Assembly, this Act shall be repealed and of no further
force and effect.

Sec. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.

CHAPTER 274
(House Bill 685)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 97 (f)
of Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replace-
ment Volume) (1966 Supplement), title "Justices of the Peace,"
subtitle "Trial Magistrates System," to delete the specification of
the number of justices of the peace at large, who shall be designated
committing magistrates of the People's Court of Prince George's
County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 97(f) of Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1964 Replacement Volume) (1966 Supplement), title "Justices of the
Peace," subtitle "Trial Magistrate System," be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

(f) In Prince George's County, the Governor, by and with the
advice and consent of the Senate, shall appoint [seven] justices of
the peace, at large, who shall be designated committing magistrates
of the People's Court of Prince George's County and who shall have
all the powers and jurisdiction vested by law in justices of the peace
