(House Bill 479)
AN ACT to add new Section 710A to Article 66C of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Natural Resources," sub-
title "Oysters and Clams," to follow immediately after Section
710 thereof, to prohibit commercial leasing of oyster producing
areas in the submerged areas of the Wicomico River of Charles
County, and to prohibit all commercial tonging of oysters in
Charles County on Saturday.
Section. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 710A be and it is hereby added to Article 66C of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Natural Re-
sources," subtitle "Oysters and Clams," to follow immediately after
Section 710 thereof, and to read as follows:
710A.
(a) From and after June 1, 1967, the Department of Chesapeake
Bay Affairs, notwithstanding any other provisions of this Article,
shall not lease any of the submerged areas of this State in the
Wicomico River in Charles County for the purpose of the cultivation
of oysters; nothing in this section shall be construed to affect or apply
to any existing valid lease made prior to and effective on June 1,1967.
(b) From and after June 1, 1967, the commercial tonging of
oysters in the submerged areas of the State in Charles County shall
be prohibited on Saturdays.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.

CHAPTER 252
(House Bill 492)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 125 (c)
(1) of Article 26 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1966 Re-
placement Volume), title "Courts," subtitle "Municipal Court of
Baltimore City," increasing retirement benefits of judges of the
Municipal Court of Baltimore City.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 125(c) (1) of Article 26 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1966 Replacement Volume), title "Courts," subtitle
"Municipal Court of Baltimore City," be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

(c) (1) Every elected judge of the Municipal Court of Baltimore
City shall be paid, after the termination of his active service, if he is
