494                              LAWS OF MARYLAND                      [CH. 200

All that area in the Piscataway and Brandywine Election Dis-
tricts of Prince George's County within the following described
boundaries:

Beginning for the same at a point on the existing boundary of
the Washington Suburban Sanitary District, said point being at the
intersection of the centerline of Piney Creek with the centerline of
Piscataway Creek to a point east of, at right angles to and 200
feet distant from the east side of the New Branch Avenue or Route
5, thence in a generally southerly direction east of, parallel to and
200 feet distant from the east side of said New Branch Avenue or
Route 5, to a point on the northwest right of way line of Crain
Highway, U.S. Route 301, thence in a generally southeasterly direc-
tion, at right angles to the southbound lane of Crain Highway, U.S.
Route 301, to a point east of, at right angles to and 200 feet distant
from the east side of said Crain Highway, U.S. Route 301, thence
in a generally southerly direction, east of, parallel to and 200 feet
distant from the said east side of Crain Highway, U.S. Route 301,
to Mattawoman Creek, the Boundary between Prince George's and
Charles Counties, thence in a generally westerly and northerly direc-
tion with and along the Boundary between Prince George's and
Charles Counties to the Maryland-Virginia Boundary line, thence in
a generally easterly and northerly direction with and along said
Maryland-Virginia Boundary line to the existing boundary of the
Washington Suburban Sanitary District, thence in a generally east-
erly direction with and along the existing boundary of the Wash-
ington Suburban Sanitary District to the point of beginning.

(b)    Conditions. The said additional area hereinabove described
shall be taken as and treated as if the said additional area was
within the original boundaries of the Sanitary District and is hereby
brought within the jurisdiction of the Washington Suburban Sanitary
Commission and shall for all of the purposes set forth in said Chapter
122 of the Acts of 1918 and amendments thereto be considered a
part of the Washington Suburban Sanitary District except as here-
inafter set forth.

(c)    Water, sewerage systems; charges. The said Washington
Suburban Sanitary Commission may whenever it deems it advisable
construct a water or sewerage system or systems in any of the
added area described above provided, however, that the Commission
may levy such benefit charges and/or may make such service rates
and/or service charges in relation to any water or sewerage system
constructed in said area as it shall determine to be necessary and
proper for the construction or financing of water and sewerage sys-
tems or for the operation and maintenance thereof without regard
to the charges or service rates made in any other area within the
Sanitary District; provided, however, that the Washington Suburban
Sanitary Commission shall not construct or extend a water and/or
sewerage system within the subdivision known as "Calvert Manor"
until such time as 51% of the residents in Calvert Manor indicate
in writing by petition their desire that the Washington Suburban
Sanitary Commission construct or extend a water and/or sewerage
system within the said subdivision.

(d)    Calvert Manor. The Commission may construct water
mains and/or sewer lines through the area known as Calvert Manor
as required to provide service to adjacent areas or to any other
area, and the Commission shall not levy any charges against Calvert
