accompany application, the remaining ten dollars ($10.00) to be
paid upon issuance of certificate. When a certificate of qualification
issued by the National Bureau of Engineering Registration is ac-
cepted as evidence of qualification, the total fee for registration as
professional engineer shall be ten dollars ($10.00).
(c) The fee for engineer-in-training shall be ten dollars ($10.00),
which shall accompany the application and shall include the cost of
examination and issuance of certificate. When registration as a pro-
fessional engineer is completed by an engineer-in-training, an addi-
tional fee of fifteen dollars ($15.00) shall be paid before issuance of
certificate as a professional engineer.
(d) The registration fee for land surveyors shall be fifteen dol-
lars ($15.00), which shall accompany application.
(e) When a person desires registration both as a professional
engineer and land surveyor, the fee shall be twenty-five dollars
which shall accompany application.
(f) Certificates of registration shall expire on the last day of
June following their issuance or renewal, and shall become invalid
on that date unless renewed. It shall be the duty of the secretary of
the Board to notify by mail every person certified hereunder of the
date of the expiration of his certificate, and the amount of the fee
required for its renewal for one year. Such notice shall be mailed to
the registrant at his last known address at least one month in
advance of the date of the expiration of said certificate. Failure to
receive such notification shall not affect the expiration date. Renewal
may be effected at any time prior to July 1 by the payment to the
secretary of the Board of a fee of five dollars ($5.00) for professional
engineers and five dollars ($5.00) for land surveyors. Renewal shall
be evidenced by the issuance of an annual registration card, bearing
the date of expiration and the signatures of the chairman and sec-
retary of the Board. Upon failure of any registrant to renew his
certificate annually prior to July 1, as required above, his certificate
to practice shall be invalidated; but such certificate may be renewed
at any time within the succeeding twelve months upon the payment
of a fee of ten dollars ($10.00) for professional engineers and ten
dollars ($10.00) for land surveyors. If any registrant fails to renew
his certificate within the twelve-month period provided above, and
later applies for renewal, he may be required to present reasons for
said renewal. The Board, at its discretion, may grant a renewal of
such certificate, in which case the renewal fee shall be twenty-five
dollars ($25.00) for professional engineers and twenty-five dollars
($25.00) for land surveyors; or may require reapplication.
(g) Should the Board deny the issuance of a certificate of regis-
tration to any applicant the initial fee deposited shall be retained as
an application fee.]
13.
(a) The registration fee for professional engineers shall not ex-
ceed thirty-five dollars ($35.00), twenty dollars ($20.00) of which
shall accompany the application, the remaining amount to be paid
upon issuance of the certificate.
(b) The fee for engineer-in-training or land surveyor-in-training
shall be ten dollars ($10.00), which shall accompany the application
