Anne Arundel County Code (1957 Edition, being Article 2 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Anne Arundel
County," subtitle "Chapter 14A. People's Court of Anne Arundel
County," as last amended by Chapter 894 of the Acts of 1963;
changing the composition of the nominating committee, increasing
the salaries of judges and chief clerk of People's Court, increasing
the pension of the judges of People's Court, and re-designating
subsection 14A-3 (d).

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 14A-3 (a), (c) and (d), 14A-5 (a), 14A-10 (a) and
14A-15 (a) of the Anne Arundel County Code (1957 Edition, being
Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Anne
Arundel County," subtitle "Chapter 14A. People's Court of Anne
Arundel County," as last amended by Chapter 894 of the Acts of
1963, be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

14A-3.

(a) The State Senators from Senatorial District Nos. 6A, 6B and
6C of
Anne Arundel County.

[(c) One (1) attorney selected by the Anne Arundel County Bar
Association.]

[(d)] (c) The duly elected vice-president of the Fifth Judicial
Circuit of the Maryland State Bar Association.

14A-5.

(a) The Governor shall designate one of the Judges of said Court
as Chief Judge and Administrative Officer who shall receive an
annual salary of [Fourteen Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($14,-
500)] Seventeen Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($17,500.00).
The other full-time Judges shall receive an annual salary of
[Fourteen Thousand Dollars ($14,000)] Seventeen Thousand Dollars
($17,000.00).

14A-10.

(a) There shall be a Chief Clerk of the People's Court who shall
be appointed by the Chief Judge, receive an annual salary of [seventy-
five hundred dollars ($7,500)] nine thousand dollars ($9,000.00), and
give bond with corporate surety, conditioned upon the proper per-
formance of his duties, in such amount as the Chief Judge shall
prescribe, the premium of which shall be paid by the county
commissioners.

14A-15.

(a) Each Judge of the People's Court shall be paid after the
termination of active service, if he is then at least sixty-five (65)
years of age, or when he becomes sixty-five (65) years of age, a
pension or salary calculated at the rate of [Three Hundred Fifty
Dollars ($350.)] Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) per annum for,
each year, or any part thereof, of active service by appointment or
election as a Judge of the People's Court up to and including twenty
