(Senate Bill 182)
AN ACT to add new Section 195A to Article 66˝ of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1966 Supplement), title
"Motor Vehicles," subtitle "Operation of Vehicles Upon High-
ways," to follow immediately after Section 195 thereof, to provide
that no motorcycle which is equipped with high handlebars shall
be operated on any public street or road in this State.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 195A be and it is hereby added to Article 66˝
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1966 Supple-
ment), title "Motor Vehicles," subtitle "Operation of Vehicles Upon
Highways," to follow immediately after Section 195 thereof, and to
read as follows:
195A.
No motorcycle which is equipped with high handlebars shall be
operated on any public road or street in this State. "High handle-
bars" are defined as ones which extend upwards from the neck of the
motorcycle more than eight (8) inches.
NO PERSON SHALL OPERATE ANY MOTORCYCLE
EQUIPPED WITH HANDLE BARS WHICH ARE MORE THAN
FIFTEEN (15) INCHES IN HEIGHT ABOVE THE UPPER-
MOST POSITION OF THE SEAT WHEN DEPRESSED BY THE
WEIGHT OF THE OPERATOR.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.

CHAPTER 173
(Senate Bill 183)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 46 and
63 (g) and (h) of Article 66˝ of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition and 1966 Supplement), title "Motor Vehicles," sub-
title "Administration—Registration—Titling," to extend to thirty
days the period of validity of temporary motor vehicle registration
cards, plates or markers issued by motor vehicle dealers and the
period of validity of transferable registration plates on newly
purchased vehicles and to correct an error in Section 63 (h)
therein.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 46 and 63 (g) and (h) of Article 66˝ of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1966 Supplement), title
"Motor Vehicles," subtitle "Administration—Registration—Titling,"
be and they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:
