SPIRO T. AGNEW, Governor                     1631

(1957 Edition and 1966 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages,"
subtitle "Local Licenses and License Provisions," be and it is hereby
repealed and that new Section 37 (c) be and it is hereby enacted in
lieu thereof to stand in the place of the section repealed, and to read
as follows:

37.

(c) In Montgomery County it is unlawful for any person, cor-
poration, club, or organization to sell, give, serve, dispense, keep or
allow to be consumed on his or its premises or on premises under his
or its possession or control any alcoholic beverages other than as
specifically permitted and provided in this article, if these premises
constitute a restaurant, tavern, hotel, club, place of public entertain-
ment, or premises open to the public; provided, however, that any
corporation, club, or organization which is
A COUNTRY CLUB AS
DEFINED IN THIS ARTICLE OR eleemosynary (AND IS A LO-
CAL POST, CHAPTER, LODGE, COUNCIL OR BRANCH OF A
NATIONAL ORGANIZATION HAVING A MEMBERSHIP OF
MORE THAN 300,000 AND WHICH SAID LOCAL POST, CHAP-
TER, LODGE, COUNCIL OR BRANCH HAS A MINIMUM DUES
PAYING MEMBERSHIP OF MORE THAN 200 MEMBERS) may,
UPON RECEIVING A SPECIAL COUNTY LICENSE, allow alco-
holic beverages, if supplied by a bona fide member, to be consumed on
its premises by said bona fide member or his guest, but not to be kept
therein; and further provided that the
.
THIS SPECIAL COUNTY
LICENSE PROVIDED FOR ABOVE SHALL PERMIT THE CON-
SUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES BY A BONA FIDE
MEMBER OR HIS GUEST ON THE PREMISES OF THE COUN-
TRY CLUB OR ELEEMOSYNARY CORPORATION, CLUB OR
ORGANIZATION IF SAID ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE SUP-
PLIED BY A BONA FIDE MEMBER. THE HOURS DURING
WHICH THE PRIVILEGES CONFERRED BY THIS SPECIAL
COUNTY LICENSE MAY BE EXERCISED SHALL BE FROM
11 O'CLOCK A.M. TO 1 O'CLOCK A.M. ON THE DAY FOLLOW-
ING. THE board of license commissioners may grant a special permit
to said eleemosynary corporation, club, or organization for consump-
tion of alcoholic beverages by others than bona fide members or guests
thereof.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.
