and a certificate thereto appended by the said judges that the said
list of names has been duly selected in conformity with and according
to the spirit and intent of this article, and which said lists and certifi-
cates shall be filed with the clerks of the said courts and by them
preserved as other proceedings of the said courts are kept. In the
counties above mentioned the names drawn on the panel shall be dis-
tributed among the several election districts fin approximately the
same proportion as required for drawing the list of regular jurors.],
AND IN PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY substantially proportionate
to the population of the respective election districts of said counties
THE COUNTY as disclosed by the latest public census POPULA-
TION ESTIMATES OF THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF
HEALTH. Modified as to Garrett, Allegany, Anne Arundel, Dor-
chester, Wicomico, Worcester, Somerset, and St. Mary's counties and
special laws enacted. This section shall not apply to Baltimore, Cecil,
Caroline, Queen Anne's, Kent or Talbot counties, as to which special
provision is made by the local law therefor.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.

CHAPTER 726
(House Bill 401)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 6(f-l),
12, 109, 112(a), 119(a) and 120 of Article 52 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume and 1966 Supple-
ment), title "Justices of the Peace," subtitles respectively "Civil
Jurisdiction," and "Trial Magistrates System;" and to add new
Sections 25F, 97(h) and 110(d) to the said Article of the Code,
subtitles respectively "Criminal Jurisdiction," and "Trial
Magistrates System;" to follow immediately, respectively, after
Sections 25E, 97(g), and 110 (c) thereof, to repeal Sections 108
(9) and 119(n) of the said Article of the Code (1966 Supplement),
subtitle "Trial Magistrates System," and to enact new Section
108(9) in lieu thereof, to stand in the place of the Section 108(9)
so repealed; to create a People's Court for Dorchester County, and
to specify the powers and jurisdiction thereof, to provide for the
appointment of the judges of the court, for their tenure, compen-
sation, powers and duties, to generally provide for the administra-
tion, practice and procedure before the court in Dorchester
County and to provide for the appointment of two trial magistrates
for the county, to fix their powers, salaries and clerical assistance.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 6(f-l), 12, 109, 112(a), 119(a) and 120 of Article 52
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume and
1966 Supplement), title "Justices of the Peace," subtitles respec-
tively "Civil Jurisdiction," and "Trial Magistrates System," be and
they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, and that
