AND 1966 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitles re-
spectively "Beer, Wine and Liquor Licenses" and, "Boards of Li-
cense Commissioners" AND "APPEALS"; to add new Sections 19
(j-1), 20(1-1), 57(i-l), 104A, 148(d-l), 155(s-l) and 158(k-l) to
the said Article of the Code, (1957 Edition and 1966 Supplement),
subtitles respectively "Beer, Wine and Liquor Licenses," "Appli-
cation for License," "Hours and Days for Sale" and "Boards of
License Commissioners," to follow respectively after Section 19(j),
20(1), 57(i), 104, 148(d), 155(s) and 158(k) thereof, to authorize
the issuance of beer, wine and liquor licenses for hotels, restaurants
and clubs in Somerset County, to fix fees and the conditions for
issuance of these licenses, to fix the requirements for license ap-
plications, to fix the hours and days for sales under all alcoholic
beverage licenses issued in the county, to authorize the appoint-
ment of a Board of License Commissioners for the County, to fix
the salaries, employees and powers of the Board, TO PROVIDE
FOR APPEALS FROM THE BOARD OF LICENSE COMMIS-
SIONERS and to generally revise the alcoholic beverage laws ap-
plicable to Somerset County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 19(a) and (n), 20(n) and 148(g), 148(G), 154, 175(A)
AND 177(B) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957
EDITION AND 1966 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages," sub-
titles respectively "Beer, Wine and Liquor Licenses" and, "Boards of
License Commissioners" AND "APPEALS" be and they are hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments; and that new sections
19(j-l), 20(1-1), 57(i-l), 104A, 148(d-1), 155(s-l) and 158(k-l)
be and they are hereby added to the said Article of the Code, (1957
Edition and 1966 Supplement), subtitles respectively "Beer, Wine
and Liquor Licenses," "Application for License," "Hours and Days
for Sale" and "Boards of License Commissioners," to follow respec-
tively after Sections 19(j), 20(1), 57(i), 104, 148(d), 155(s) and
158 (k) thereof, and all to read as follows:

19.

(a) A Class B beer, wine and liquor license shall be issued by
the clerk of the circuit court of the county in which the place of
business is located, or by the clerk of the Court of Common Pleas for
Baltimore City, if the place of business is located in said city, and
shall authorize the holder thereof to keep for sale and sell all alco-
holic beverages at retail at any hotel or restaurant at the place
therein described, for consumption on the premises or elsewhere,
except in Dorchester [and], Queen Anne's and Somerset counties
where consumption of wine and liquor shall be on the premises only
and in Kent County and Frederick County where consumption is as
provided herein. The annual fee for such a license shall be seven
hundred and fifty dollars ($750.00), except as hereinafter provided,
and shall be payable to said clerk, before any such license is issued,
for distribution as hereinafter provided.

(1) In Somerset County, the annual fee for such a license shall
be one thousand dollars ($1,000) for a restaurant and for a hotel.
