Senate of Maryland and six FIVE from the House of Delegates of
Maryland.
The seven FIVE members from the Senate of Maryland shall be
the DESIGNATED BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE.
following: the President of the Senate, the Chairman of the Com-
mittee on Finance, the Chairman of the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings, the Chairman of the Committee on Economic Affairs,
the Minority Floor Leader, one member of the majority party to be
appointed by the President, and one member of the minority party
to be appointed by the President. IN THE CASE OF THE SEV
ERAL COMMITTEES REFERRED TO IN THIS PARAGRAPH
The six FIVE members from the House of Delegates of Maryland
shall be the following: the Speaker of the House of Delegates, the
Chairman of the Committee on Judiciary, the Chairman of the Com-
mittee on Ways and Means, the Minority Floor Leader, one member
of the majority party to be appointed by the Speaker, and one mem-
ber of the minority party to be appointed by the Speaker. IN THE
CASE OF THE SEVERAL COMMITTEES REFERRED TO IN
THIS PARAGRAPH THE VICE CHAIRMAN OF EACH OF THE
COMMITTEES OR SOME OTHER PERSON DESIGNATED BY
THE CHAIRMAN OF EACH OF THE COMMITTEES MAY
SERVE IN LIEU OF THE CHAIRMAN. BE DESIGNATED BY
THE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES.
(b) All committees, subcommittees, and other special study groups,
and all consultants and research employees appointed by or on behalf
of the Constitutional Convention shall submit to the Legislative
Liaison Committee any written reports, recommendations, data, or
other material prepared for or submitted to the Constitutional
Convention or one of its committees, subcommittees, or other special
study groups.
(c) The Legislative Liaison Committee shall consider all such
special reports, recommendations, data, and other materials, and it
shall give day to day consideration to the work, proceedings, de-
cisions, and recommendations of the Constitutional Convention and
of its committees, subcommittees, and other special study groups.
The Legislative Liaison Committee shall submit to the Constitutional
Convention, or to its committees, subcommittees, or special study
groups if desirable, its suggestions, proposals, and recommendations
concerning the procedure, work, decisions, and recommendations of
the Constitutional Convention and of its committees, subcommittees,
and other special study groups.
(d) The members of the Legislative Liaison Committee shall be
available for consultation with members, committees, subcommittees,
or other special study groups of the Constitutional Convention. They
shall make themselves generally available for advice and counsel to
the Constitutional Convention and its members, committees, sub-
committees, and other special study groups on matters of procedure,
the scheduling of work, and the decisions and recommendations of
the Constitutional Convention and of its committees, subcommittees,
and other special study groups.
THE VICE-CHAIRMAN OF EACH OF THE COMMITTEES OR
SOME OTHER PERSON DESIGNATED BY THE CHAIRMAN
OF EACH OF THE COMMITTEES MAY SERVE IN LIEU OF
THE CHAIRMAN.
