(b) In the event that a local, regional, state or interstate agency
subsequently is deemed responsible, the Department may negotiate
with any such agency for the assumption of the contractual obliga-
tions and responsibility for assessments.

(c) The Department shall cooperate with the respective federal
agencies in establishing operational procedures for the regulation of
storage and subsequent releases of water from the reservoires.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.

(Senate Bill 316)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 255 (f)
of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replace-
ment Volume), title "Testamentary Law," subtitle "Orphans'
Court," to delete the provisions as to mileage allowance for judges
of the Orphans' Court of Anne Arundel County and to substitute
an annual A MONTHLY expense allowance for said judges, to be
paid monthly.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 255 (f) of Article 93 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1964 Replacement Volume), title "Testamentary Law," sub-
title "Orphans' Court," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted
with amendments, to read as follows:

255.

(f) Each of the judges of the orphans' court for Anne Arundel
and Cecil counties shall receive the sum of ten dollars ($10.00) for
every day's attendance upon the sessions of said court. The judges
of the Orphans' Court for Cecil County shall receive an allowance
for traveling expenses of two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00) per
year, to be paid quarterly by the County Commissioners of Cecil
County and the judges of the Orphans' Court of Anne Arundel
County shall receive an expense allowance in addition to their daily
compensation of [six dollars ($6.00) for mileage for every day's
attendance upon the sessions of said court] twelve hundred dollars
($1,200) per year to be paid monthly. UP TO ONE HUNDRED
DOLLARS ($100.) PER MONTH FOR PERSONAL EXPENSES
INCIDENTAL TO THEIR DUTIES, TO BE PAID BY THE CON-
TROLLER OF ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY EACH MONTH
UPON PRESENTATION OF ITEMIZED VOUCHERS IN AC-
CORDANCE WITH REGULATIONS PRESCRIBED BY THE
SAID CONTROLLER.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.
