The President of the County Commissioners of St. Mary's County
shall receive a salary of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) per year,
and the other Commissioners shall receive a salary of Four Thousand
Five Hundred Dollars ($4,500.00) per year. As of January 1,1967 the

shall receive a salary [of Two Thousand Dollars ($2,000.00) per year]
as determined by the County Commissioners.
As of January 1, 1967 each County Commissioner shall have an
allowance of Three Thousand Dollars ($3,000.00) annually for ex-
penses for which they shall show vouchers.
THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF ST. MARY'S COUNTY
MAY RECEIVE REIMBURSEMENT FOR THEIR EXPENSES
INCURRED WHILE ENGAGED IN COUNTY BUSINESS,
WHETHER SUCH EXPENSES WERE INCURRED WITHIN OR
OUTSIDE THE COUNTY.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby declared
to be an emergency measure and necessary for the immediate preser-
vation of the public health and safety and having been passed by a yea
and nay vote supported by three-fifths of all the members elected to
each of the two houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take
effect from the date of its passage SHALL TAKE EFFECT JUNE 1,
1967.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 45 of
Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1966 Supplement)
title "Health," subtitle "Miscellaneous Provisions," subheading
"Local boards of health and health officers—County commissioners
constitute board; Montgomery County.", to provide that rules and
regulations adopted and published by the local board of health of
Montgomery County shall be effective within all cities, towns,
villages and special taxing areas within the County unless said
cities, towns, villages and special taxing areas have adopted ordi-
nances, rules or regulations containing equal or more restrictive
requirements and have provided for enforcement.
