Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 673 of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1965 Replacement Volume), title "Health," subtitle "Sanitary Dis-
tricts," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

Nothing in this subtitle shall apply to, or be effective in the
counties of Anne Arundel, Caroline, Carroll, Harford, Montgom-
ery, Prince George's and Wicomico.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.

(House Bill 1047)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 14 (a) of
Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and
1966 Supplement), title "Elections," subtitle "General Powers and
Duties of Supervisors of Elections," to permit the registration of
voters and the holding of elections in certain buildings owned by
certain service, veterans and fraternal organizations in Allegany
County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 14(a) of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition and 1966 Supplement), title "Elections," subtitle
"General Powers and Duties of Supervisors of Elections," be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
14.
(a) It shall be the duty of the respective boards of supervisors to
appoint and to provide for furnishing, heating, lighting and cleaning
a suitable place of registration and polling place in each precinct
of their county or city, which shall be as near the center of the vot-
ing population of the precinct as practicable; provided, however,
that whenever all three supervisors of the said county or city, as
the case may be, shall file in their office a sworn statement in writing
that a suitable place cannot in their judgment be secured in any
precinct, a suitable place in an adjoining precinct may be provided.
A rental of $35.00 per diem is to be paid for the use of each ap-
pointed privately owned registration and polling place in Baltimore
City. In no case (except as to a building owned and occupied by a
bona fide volunteer fire company, service club, veterans organization
or fraternal organization in Allegany County) shall a registration or
