Section 5(P) (4) (f), in said Chapter 743 and found on Page 1117 of
the Laws of 1965, making available to the University of Maryland-
Baltimore County Campus the sum of $180,200 for the conversion of
approximately 15,000 square feet of temporary library space in new
Science Building to science laboratories. There shall be allowed an
additional period of two years, beginning on the effective date of this
Act, for placing these projects under contract. If these projects shall
not have been placed under contract within a period of two years,
beginning on the effective date of this Act, then it shall be deemed
to have been abandoned and the other provisions of Section 9 of
Chapter 743 of the Acts of 1965 shall be fully effective as to these
projects.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.

CHAPTER 628
(House Bill 955)

AN ACT to waive the provisions of Section 1 of Chapter 660 of the
Acts of 1965, said section relating to the time by which projects
referred to therein, and originally included in the General Con-
struction Loan of 1963, must be placed under contract, insofar as
the provisions of said section relate to an item contained in said
Act for University of Maryland-Baltimore relating to the first
stage of construction of new Out-Patient Building; and to extend
for two years, the period during which the said item may be placed
under contract.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the provisions of Section 1 of Chapter 660 of the Acts of 1965,
be and they are hereby waived insofar as they impose a time for
placing under contract an item at the University of Maryland-Balti-
more for the first stage of construction of new Out-Patient Building,
found on Page 919 of the Laws of 1965. There shall be allowed an
additional period of two years, beginning on the effective date of this
Act, for placing the project under contract.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.
