during which alcoholic beverages may be sold in Worcester County;
and generally revising the alcoholic beverage laws of Worcester
County
TO REVISE THE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE LAWS OF
WORCESTER COUNTY WITH RESPECT TO THE CONDI-
TIONS FOR ISSUANCE OF CLASS B BEER, WINE AND
LIQUOR LICENSES FOR HOTELS AND RESTAURANTS, TO
AUTHORIZE THE ISSUANCE OF CLASS D BEER, WINE
AND LIQUOR LICENSES FOR TAVERNS, TO FIX THE LIM-
ITATIONS ON THE USE OF SUCH LICENSES, TO AUTHOR-
IZE THE ISSUANCE OF SPECIAL SUNDAY SALE PERMITS
TO CERTAIN LICENSEES, TO AUTHORIZE ADDITIONAL
LICENSE FEES FOR PREMISES LOCATED WITHIN TOWNS
TO FIX THE PRICE CHARGED FOR ALCOHOLIC BEVER-
AGES PURCHASED FROM COUNTY DISPENSARIES BY
SUCH LICENSEES AND TO CHANGE THE USE OF FINES
FOR VIOLATIONS OF THE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGE LAWS
OF THE COUNTY.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 19(m), 26(b), 40(a) 21(n), 26(b), 40(a) 21 (J), 26(B),
90(b) (2), 130 and 197(n), (p) and (q) of Article 2B of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1966 Supplement), title "Alco-
holic Beverages," subtitles "Beer, Wine and Liquor Licenses," "Local
Licenses and License Provisions," "General Provisions on Issue of
Licenses," "HOURS AND DAYS FOR SALES," "RESTRICTIONS
UPON LICENSES" and "Enforcement" be and they are hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments; and that new Sections
21(i-1), AND 25 (k) and 41 (b 6) be and they are hereby added to the
said Article and title, subtitles "Beer, Wine and Liquor Licenses,"
"Special and Temporary Licenses," and "General Provisions on Issu-
ance of Licenses," to follow immediately after Sections 21(i), 25(j)
and 41(b 5)
AND 25(J) respectively thereof; and to repeal Section
106 of said Article and title, subtitle "Hours and Days for Sale," and
to enact new Section 106 in lieu thereof, to stand in place of the section
repealed; and all to read as follows:

19.

(m)[(l) Ocean City. Bona fide hotels having twenty (20) or
more rooms, regularly serving meals, or restaurants as such res-
taurants are by ordinance denned by the mayor and city council of
Ocean City, upon compliance with the general provisions and regu-
lations of this article, and upon payment of an annual license fee
as hereinafter provided shall, with the approval of the mayor and
city council of Ocean City, be entitled to a license entitling such
hotel or restaurant to serve liquors, wines and beers within the cor-
porate limits of said town of Ocean City during the hours as provided
in Section 106 of this article; and provided further, that such licensees
shall purchase all liquors and wines from the liquor control board of
said county. The mayor and city council of Ocean City shall by
ordinance prescribe uniform license fees for such licenses of not less
than six hundred dollars ($600.00) and no more than five thousand
dollars ($5,000.00). The board of license commissioners for said
county shall remit the license fees collected by it hereunder to the
municipality in which the licensee is located after deducting a fee
of two dollars ($2.00) for each license issued by the board, in lieu of
commission.]
