may be, issued or proposed and made available for general circula-
tion by any governmental agency or by any trade or professional
association; but any subsequent amendment to or change in what-
ever is adopted by reference shall not be effective in Harford,
Frederick [,] and Kent [and Allegany] counties until and unless
it is specifically incorporated therein by action of the Board of
county commissioners.
All buildings on a farm and on any premises devoted solely to
agricultural pursuits are exempt from the provisions and the ap-
plication of both building and housing code.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 40 (c)
of Article 10 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition
and 1966 Supplement), title "Attorneys at Law and Attorneys in
Fact," subtitle "State's Attorney," to provide for an increase in the
number of assistant State's attorneys in Anne Arundel County
and to provide a uniform minimum salary for such assistants.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 40 (c) of Article 10 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition and 1966 Supplement), title "Attorneys at Law and
Attorneys in Fact," subtitle "State's Attorney," be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
40.
(c) In Anne Arundel County, (1) the State's Attorney's salary
is thirteen thousand dollars ($13,000.00) annually. (2) The State's
Attorney may appoint a deputy State's attorney whose salary shall
be as set by the County Council of Anne Arundel County, but not
less than ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00) annually. (3) The State's
Attorney may appoint [six] eight assistant State's attorneys, each
of whose salaries shall be as set by the County Council of Anne
Arundel County, but [four] each of whose salaries shall not be less
than six thousand five hundred dollars ($6,500.00) annually [and
two of whose salaries shall not be less than five thousand dollars
($5,000.00)]. (4) The State's Attorney may appoint one adminis-
trative assistant whose salary shall be as set by the County Council
of Anne Arundel County but not less than five thousand dollars
($5,000.00) annually.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.
