by the applicant shall be deemed a waiver of such hearing and
notice. Such regulations may include provisions for notice to owners
of properties that would be substantially affected by approval of
any subdivision plat and for public hearings on such applications.
Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.

(House Bill 296)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 34 of
Chapter 780 of the Laws of Maryland, 1959, as amended, (being
also Section 59-39, Title "Park and Planning Commission," Sub-
title "Tax Exemption for Property," Code of Public Local Laws,
Prince George's County, 1963 Edition, and Section 70-45, Title
"Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission,"
Subtitle, "Tax Exemption for Property," Montgomery County
Code, 1965 Edition), by renumbering the Section and adding a
new Section 34 (b) clarifying the tax exempt status of property
dedicated to the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning
Commission.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 34 of Chapter 780 of the Laws of Maryland, 1959,
as amended, be, and is hereby, repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
34. Tax Exemption for Property.
(a) All land or other property acquired by the Commission for
the purposes specified herein above, or any of them, shall be exempt
from State, county, and municipal taxes.
(b) All land dedicated to the Commission pursuant to the pro-
visions of Section 17-7 of the Montgomery County Code (1965 Edi-
tion) or Section 12-32 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince
George's County (1963 Edition) is property acquired by the Com-
mission within the meaning of this Section.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.
