the Board at each monthly meeting a list of approved or pending
applications for membership received since the previous monthly
meeting, together with such other related information as the bylaws
or the Board may require.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.

(Senate Bill 695)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 437 of
the Charter and Public Local Laws of Baltimore City (1949 Edi-
tion) , being Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, title "Baltimore City," subtitle "People's Court," Section
437 thereof having last been amended by Chapter 846 of the Acts
of 1963, amending the local laws concerning the People's Court
of Baltimore City, to increase the amounts specified for the exclu-
sive, and also for concurrent, jurisdiction of this Court.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 437 of the Charter and Public Local Laws of Baltimore
City (1949 Edition), being Article 4 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title "Baltimore City," subtitle "People's Court,"
Section 437 thereof having been last amended by Chapter 846 of
the Acts of 1963, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

437.

(a)  The People's Court of Baltimore City shall have exclusive
original jurisdiction at law in all civil cases arising in Baltimore
City over which Justices of the Peace had jurisdiction prior to May
5, 1941, including all cases in said City for the enforcement of con-
tracts and to obtain redress for wrongs, where the debt or damages
claimed shall not exceed [$500] $1,000; in all suits on bonds with
penalty exceeding [$500] $1,000 where the sum due and claimed
does not exceed [$600] $1,000; in actions of replevin where the
value of the thing in controversy does not exceed [$500] $1,000;
and in all cases of attachment in any of the cases mentioned in
Article 9 of Maryland Code, or in Maryland Rules, Subtitle G
Attachment on Original Process, where the sum claimed shall not
exceed [$500] $1,000; and in all cases arising under Sections
455 to 462, inclusive, of this Article.

(b)  In all cases instituted on and after June 1, [1963], 1967,
the People's Court of Baltimore City shall have in addition to the
jurisdiction granted by Section 437 (a) of this subtitle, concurrent
jurisdiction with the Superior Court of Baltimore City, the Balti-
more City Court and the Court of Common Pleas of said City, in
any of the cases enumerated in Section 437 (a) of this subtitle,
except those arising under Sections 455 to 462, inclusive, of this
