of such "stop sale" order, to sell, transport, offer or expose for sale
any such apples with respect to which such order has been issued.
Any person upon whom a "stop sale" order has been served may
appeal to the Board in accordance with such regulations as the
Board may from time to time prescribe.

42.

Any person who violates any of the provisions of this subtitle, or
any rule or regulation made thereunder, or who reports falsely or
with intent to deceive in answer to any of the requirements of this
subtitle, or who interferes with said State Board of Agriculture, its
agents or employees, in the enforcement of the provisions of this
subtitle, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and, upon con-
viction thereof, shall, for the first offense be subject to a fine of not
less than twenty-five ($25.00) dollars nor more than fifty ($50.00)
dollars, and for any second or subsequent offense shall be subject
to a fine not less than fifty ($50.00) dollars nor more than one hun-
dred ($100.00) dollars.

When used in this subtitle: (1) "Person" shall include an individ-
ual, partnership, corporation, company, society, cooperative, associa-
tion or other entity; (2) the words "closed package" shall mean a
bag, box, barrel, basket, carton, cellpack, hamper, or traypack, or
any other container covered with burlap, tarlatan, slat, or other
covers or closures, the contents of which package can neither be
seen nor inspected when such package is closed.

The Maryland State Board of Agriculture through its duly ap-
pointed agents and enforcing officers may enforce any provision of
this subtitle, or any rule or regulation promulgated pursuant thereto,
by injunction.

45.

This subtitle shall be known as the "Maryland Apple Grade Law".

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.

CHAPTER 504
(Senate Bill 422)

AN ACT to authorize the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to
create a debt, and to issue and sell its certificates of indebtedness
as evidence thereof, to an amount not exceeding Twenty Million
Dollars ($20,000,000.00), the proceeds derived from the sale of
the certificates of indebtedness to be used for the acquisition,
by purchase, condemnation or any other legal means, of land or
property, or any rights therein, in the City of Baltimore, and
constructing and erecting on said land or property, or on any
