so repealed and to be under the new subtitle "Chapter 27. General
Assembly Scholarship Awards," and to read as follows:
Chapter 27. General Assembly Scholarship Awards

There is hereby created a program of senatorial scholarships as
provided herein. As of July 1, 1967, THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF
THIS ACT, this program shall supersede and replace all senatorial
scholarship programs existing prior to this date, and thereafter all
senatorial scholarships shall be held only in accordance with the terms
of this section. Nothing herein shall be construed to affect any schol-
arship granted prior to July 1, 1967, THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF
THIS ACT, and the recipient of any such scholarship may continue
to hold it notwithstanding the adoption of this subtitle? OR TO AF-
FECT ANY EXISTING VACANCY IN A SCHOLARSHIP GRANT
AVAILABLE FOR AWARD BY A SENATOR TO A PARTICU-
LAR INSTITUTION.

(a) The eligible institutions under this program of scholarships
are divided into three categories as follows:

(1) College of Notre Dame of Maryland
(2) Hood College
(3) Johns Hopkins University
(4) Loyola College
(5) The Maryland Institute
(6) Mount Saint Agnes College
(7) Mount Saint Mary's College
(8) The Peabody Institute
(9) St. John's College
(10) St. Joseph's College
(11) Washington College
(12) Western Maryland College
(c) Category I I
(1) Bowie State College
(2) Coppin State College
(3) Frostburg State College
(4) Maryland State College
(5) Morgan State College
(6) St. Mary's College of Maryland
(7) Salisbury State College
(8) Towson State College
(9) University of Maryland
(d) Category III
The public junior colleges now or hereafter established in the State.
(a) The value of a scholarship award when used at any institution
listed in Category I in Section 261 of this Article is the published
catalogue tuition cost of the particular institution.
