OR OTHER IDENTIFICATION AFFIXED AND VISIBLE AS
REQUIRED IN THIS SECTION, HE SHALL PROMPTLY NO-
TIFY THE OWNER OR LICENSEE OF THAT FACT AND IM-
MEDIATELY REQUIRE THE PROPER LICENSE TAG, STAMP
DECAL OR OTHER IDENTIFICATION ON THE MACHINE
AND ITS PROPER DISPLAY.

IN THIS EVENT, THE OWNER OR LICENSEE SHALL BE
GIVEN NOTICE IN WRITING OF THE VIOLATION AND
GRANTED A PERIOD OF TEN DAYS TO SECURE OR PROP-
ERLY AFFIX A LICENSE TAG OR STAMP; AND IF THE
LICENSE TAG OR STAMP IS NOT SECURED OR PROPERLY
AFFIXED TO THE MACHINE AT THE END OF THE TEN
DAY PERIOD, THE INSPECTOR SHALL SEAL THE MACHINE
TO ASSURE THAT IT MAY NOT BE USED WHILE HE TAKES
SUCH ACTION AS NECESSARY TO ENFORCE THE LICEN-
SING PROVISIONS OF THIS ARTICLE. IF, IN ADDITION TO
NOT HAVING A LICENSE TAG OR STAMP PROPERLY AF-
FIXED AND VISIBLE, THE OWNER OR LICENSEE DOES
NOT HAVE THE NAME AND TELEPHONE NUMBER POSTED
ON THE MACHINE IN SUCH MANNER AS REASONABLY TO
BE VISIBLE AND AVAILABLE, THE INSPECTOR IMMEDI-
ATELY SHALL CLOSE AND SEAL THE MACHINE TO ASSURE
THAT IT MAY NOT BE USED WHILE HE TAKES SUCH
ACTION AS NECESSARY TO ENFORCE THE LICENSING RE-
QUIREMENTS OF THIS ARTICLE. ANY UNAUTHORIZED
PERSON WHO TAMPERS WITH OR REMOVES THE SEAL ON
A MACHINE IS GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR, AND UPON
CONVICTION HE SHALL BE FINED A SUM NOT EXCEEDING
ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1967.

CHAPTER 462
(Senate Bill 293)

AN ACT to add new Section 60A to Article 41 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume), title "Governor—
Executive and Administrative Departments," subtitle "The Execu-
tive Department," subheading "Special Policemen," to follow im-
mediately after Section 60 thereof, providing for the appointment
by the Governor of special policemen for the protection of property
and keeping of the peace thereon of any public institution within
this State,
AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND OR ONE
OF THE STATE COLLEGES, providing that special policemen
heretofore appointed for such public institutions are henceforth
governed by this Act, and relating generally to the appointment,
powers, duties and other aspects of special policemen.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 60A be and it is hereby added to Article 41 of the
