AN ACT to add new Section 143A 42A to the Code of Public Local
Laws of St. Mary's County (1965 Edition, being Article 19 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "St. Mary's
County", to follow immediately after Section 443 thereof and to
be under the new subtitle "Railroads", authorizing the County
Commissioners of St. Mary's County to purchase a certain rail-

road right of way and to hold or dispose of the same. 42, ADD

NEW SECTION 44A TO THE CODE OF PUBLIC LOCAL LAWS
OF CHARLES COUNTY (1965 EDITION, BEING ARTICLE 9
OF THE CODE OF PUBLIC LOCAL LAWS OF MARYLAND),
TITLE "CHARLES COUNTY", TO FOLLOW IMMEDIATELY
AFTER SECTION 44, AND ADD NEW SUBSECTION 18-1 (B)
(41) TO THE CODE OF PUBLIC LOCAL LAWS OF PRINCE
GEORGE'S COUNTY (1963 EDITION AS AMENDED, BEING
ARTICLE 17 OF THE CODE OF PUBLIC LAWS OF MARY-
LAND), TITLE "PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY", AS LAST
AMENDED BY CHAPTER 898 OF THE LAWS OF MARY-
LAND, 1965, TO FOLLOW IMMEDIATELY AFTER SUBSEC-
TION 18-1 (B) (40), AUTHORIZING THE COUNTY COMMIS-
SIONERS OF THE THREE COUNTIES TO PURCHASE A
CERTAIN RAILROAD RIGHT OF WAY AND TO HOLD OR
DISPOSE OF THE SAME.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 113A 42A be and it is hereby added to the Code of
Public Local Laws of St. Mary's County (1965 Edition, being Article
19 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "St. Mary's
County", to follow immediately after Section 143 thereof and to be
under the new subtitle "Railroads", and 42, THAT NEW SECTION
44A BE AND IT IS HEREBY ADDED TO THE CODE OF PUB-
LIC LOCAL LAWS OF CHARLES COUNTY (1965 EDITION,
BEING ARTICLE 9 OF THE CODE OF PUBLIC LOCAL LAWS
OF MARYLAND), TITLE "CHARLES COUNTY", TO FOLLOW
IMMEDIATELY AFTER SECTION 44, AND ADD NEW SUB-
SECTION 18-1 (B) (41) TO THE CODE OF PUBLIC LOCAL
LAWS OF PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY (1963 EDITION AS

Railroads

143A. 42A. RAILROAD ACQUISITION. The County Commis-
sioners of St. Mary's County are hereby authorized to purchase from
the Federal government such portion as they shall determine of the
railroad, including land and any easements, running from Brandy-
wine in Prince George's County to the Patuxent Naval Air Test
Center in St. Mary's County, and to hold the same or resell it, as the
County Commissioners shall in their discretion determine.

44A. RAILROAD ACQUISITION. THE COUNTY COMMIS-
