Public Local Laws of Worcester County (1961 Edition, being Article
24 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Worcester
County", subtitle "Circuit Court", to follow immediately after Sec-
tion 126 thereof, and to read as follows:

126A. The judge of the Circuit Court for Worcester County is
authorized and empowered to employ a competent personal secre-
tary. The salary of said secretary shall be $3,500.00 per year, to be
paid IN SUCH AMOUNT AS MAY BE APPROVED by the County
Commissioners.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1966.

CHAPTER 530
(Senate Bill 229)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 174 (a)
of Article 66½ of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Motor Vehicles", subtitle "Unsatisfied Claim and Judgment
Fund", to change the conditions under which uninsured motorists
causing the Unsatisfied Claim and Judgment Fund to pay judg-
ments on their behalf may have their licenses or driving privileges
restored upon the payment in full of sums to the Fund.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 174 (a) of Article 66½ of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1957 Edition), title "Motor Vehicles", subtitle "Unsatisfied
Claim and Judgment Fund", be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

174.

(a) Where the license or driving privileges of any person, or the
registration of a motor vehicle registered in his name, have been
suspended or revoked under the Motor Vehicle Financial Responsi-
bility Law of this State, and the Treasurer has paid from the fund
any amount in settlement of a claim or towards satisfaction of a
judgment against that person, the suspension or revocation shall
not be removed, nor the license, privileges, or registration, restored,
nor shall any new license or privileges be issued or granted to, or
registration be permitted to be made by, that person until he has—

(1) Repaid in full to the Treasurer the amount so paid by him
in the case of amounts of one thousand dollars ($1,000) or less, or
repaid in full to the Treasurer in the case of amounts exceeding one
thousand dollars ($1,000), a sum to be set by the Board, but never
less than 50
% of the amount so paid by the Treasurer, together with
interest thereon at four per centum (4%) per annum from the date
of such settlement or assignment of judgment, or has undertaken
in writing, in the manner provided in Section 161, to repay to the
Treasurer the sum to be paid under a settlement, or has obtained a
