Nothing in this section shall apply to Baltimore, Charles, Harford,
Montgomery, Prince George's, Caroline, Kent, Queen Anne's, Talbot
[,] or Cecil [, Dorchester, Somerset, Wicomico or Worcester]
counties. IN DORCHESTER, SOMERSET, WICOMICO AND WOR-
CESTER COUNTIES THE CLERK OF THE COUNTY COMMIS-
SIONER FOR EACH COUNTY SHALL FURNISH THE LIST
OF TAXABLE INHABITANTS OR RESIDENTS OF THEIR RE-
SPECTIVE COUNTY ONLY UPON REQUEST OF THE JUDGE
OF THE CIRCUIT COURT FOR SAID COUNTY.
9A.
It shall be the duty of the judges of the respective circuit courts of
the first judicial circuit, comprising Dorchester, Somerset, Wicomico
and Worcester counties, not less than fifteen days before the be-
ginning of each term of the court at which jurors are required to
attend, in the presence of such members of the bar of said court as
shall attend, notice of the time and place having been given to said
bar through the clerk of said court to proceed to select from the list
last furnished by the clerks of the county commissioners provided for
in Section 6, from the pollbooks of the several election districts of
said county that shall be returned and filed in the clerk's office of
said courts after any general election last held or from such other
list of names as the court may find available, a panel that shall con-
sist of the names of two hundred persons in said county fairly and
impartially selected, of the age aforesaid, by the judge or judges,
out of the election districts of said county in proportion to the in-
habitants or residents of each district, with special reference to the
intelligence, sobriety and integrity of such person and without the
least reference to political opinion; and of the names of such persons
so selected, a list shall be made and a certificate appended thereto
by said judge or judges, that the said list of names has been duly
selected in conformity with and according to the spirit of this
section; and the said list and certificate shall be filed with the clerk
of said court and by them preserved as other proceedings of the
court are kept.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

CHAPTER 522
(Senate Bill 203)
AN ACT to provide that the increase in pensions provided for court
stenographers of the several courts of Baltimore City by Chapter
808 of the Laws of 1965 shall apply, from and after July 1, 1966,
to those court stenographers who were receiving pensions pursuant
to Section 299 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Baltimore City
(1949 Edition, being Article 4 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland) title "Baltimore City", subtitle "Criers, Bailiffs,
Watchmen, and Stenographers", as last amended by Chapters 252
and 451 of the Acts of 1963, as of the effective date of said Chap-
ter 808 of the Laws of 1965.
