CHAPTER 499
(House Bill 1187)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 89 (g)
of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Supple-
ment), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Hours and Days for
Sale," to remove wine from the restriction on Sunday sale of
liquor in Howard County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 89(g) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1965 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle
"Hours and Days for Sale," be and It is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

89.

(g) A licensee in any district of Howard County may remain
open and sell alcoholic beverages authorized by his license at all
times on January 1st of any year, subject to the provisions that no
[wine or] liquor may be sold between the hours of 2:00 A.M. Sun-
day and 6:00 A.M. the following Monday, notwithstanding other
restrictions as to hours imposed by this article.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

CHAPTER 500
(Senate Bill 594)

AN ACT to provide for the calling of a Convention to frame a new
Constitution of Maryland under certain circumstances and to
provide for the number and apportionment of delegates thereto.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That in the event a majority of those voting at the special election to
be held on the second Tuesday after the first Monday in September in
the year 1966 vote for a Constitutional Convention, such Convention
shall be assembled and shall convene at such time prior to the first
TWELVE NOON ON TUESDAY THE TWELFTH day of Septem-
ber in the year 1967 and at such place and shall continue in session
for such length of time as may hereafter be prescribed by law.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That in the event a Conven-
tion is assembled pursuant to the provisions of this Act, each county
