ment), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "County Liquor Con-
trol Boards and Dispensaries," amending the laws concerning the
appointment of County Liquor Boards with particular respect to
Caroline County and to the contingency that there may be no
resident Senator from Caroline County in the Senate of Maryland.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 159 (c) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1965 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "County
Liquor Control Boards and Dispensaries," be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

159.

(c) The members of the respective boards shall be appointed by
the Governor with the advice and consent of the Senate. Provided,
that in Somerset County they shall be appointed by the Governor. In
Harford County they shall be appointed by the Board of County Com-
missioners. In Garrett County the County Commissioners shall be ex
officio the members of the liquor control board. In Kent County the
County Commissioners shall be ex officio the members of the liquor
control board. In Harford County said board shall also be known
as the board of license commissioners of Harford County, upon
which shall be devolved all the duties and rights given elsewhere
in this article. In Montgomery County the director of the department
of liquor control shall be appointed and removed by the county mana-
ger with the approval of the county council. If there is no resident
Senator from Caroline County in the Senate of Maryland at the time
of the appointment, the appointment in that County shall be with the
advice and consent of the House of Delegates of Maryland.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

(House Bill 904)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, subsections (a),
(c), and (e), of Section 1 of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland, (1957 Edition), title "Elections," subtitle "Supervisors
of Elections and Employees," amending the laws concerning the
appointment of the Board of Supervisors of Elections in Caroline
County in order to provide for the contingency that at the time
of appointment there may be no resident senator from Caroline
County in the Senate of Maryland.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That subsections (a), (c), and (e), of Section 1 of Article 33 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland, (1957 Edition), title "Elections," sub-
title "Supervisors of Elections and Employees," be and they are
