vided one duplicate copy is always retained for security purposes in
the office of the Board of Supervisors of Elections. Such data process-
ing shall be done as expeditiously as practicable and after such
processing has been completed said original and duplicate forms
shall be promptly returned to the office of the Board. The registration
records shall be open to public inspection under reasonable regula-
tions at all times when the office of the board is open for business;
except that during the thirty-five days preceding and the ten days
following an election such records shall not be so opened to public
inspection except upon the special order of the board.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

(House Bill 1086)
AN ACT to repeal Section 347 (b) of Article 66C of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957 Edition), title "Natural Resources," sub-
title "Forests and Parks," heading "In General," and to enact a
new Section 347 (b) in lieu thereof, to stand in the place of the sec-
tion so repealed, to authorize the Governor to designate employees
of the Department of Forests and Parks to possess and exercise
the power of police officers or constables with regard to law en-
forcement within the boundaries of all property owned by the
State and managed by the Department.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 347(b) of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1957 Edition), title "Natural Resources," subtitle "Forests
and Parks," heading "In General," be and it is hereby repealed
and that a new Section 347 (b) be and it is hereby enacted in lieu
thereof, to stand in the place of the section so repealed, and to read
as follows:
347.
(b) The Governor, on recommendation of the Director of the
Department of Forests and Parks, may commission employees of
the Department as peace officers. Employees of the Department so
commissioned and assigned law enforcement duties shall have and
may exercise the powers of police officers or constables of this State
and such powers may be exercised anywhere within or upon proper-
ties owned by the State of Maryland and managed by the Depart-
ment of Forests and Parks.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.
