Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 205(2) of Article 16 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1957 Edition), title "Chancery," subtitle "Uniform Absent
Persons' Act," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
205.
(2) After the lapse of five (5) years from the date of the finding
provided for in Section 202, subsection (1), or a lapse of one (1)
year when the absentee has been missing for more than twenty (20)
years, if the absentee has not appeared, the court may proceed to
take further evidence and thereafter make a final finding and enter
a decree declaring that all interest of the absentee in his property
has ceased and devolved upon others by reason of his failure to
appear and make claim.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

(House Bill 680)
AN ACT to add new Section 152A to Article 66½ of the Annotated
Code of Maryland, 1957 Edition (1965 Supplement), title "Motor
Vehicles," subtitle "Unsatisfied Claim and Judgment Fund Board,"
to follow immediately after Section 152 thereof to authorize the
Unsatisfied Claim and Judgment Fund Board to appoint a full
time Manager and Assistant Manager and affix the salary and to
prescribe their qualifications and tenure and method of removal
of Manager and Assistant Manager.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 152A be and it is hereby added to Article 66½ of
the Annotated Code of Maryland, 1957 Edition (1965 Supplement),
title "Motor Vehicles," subtitle "Unsatisfied Claim and Judgment
Fund Board" to follow immediately after Section 152 thereof and to
read as follows:
152 A.
The Board is authorized to appoint a full time Manager and As-
sistant Manager whose salary shall be fixed by the Board. They
shall be persons of high character and integrity. They EACH OF
THEM shall be appointed upon the basis of their executive skill
and ability and once appointed shall hold office during good behavior
regardless of changes in members constituting the Board. They
EACH OF THEM shall be removed only for incompetence or im-
morality upon charges furnished TO THEM in writing by the
Board setting forth the grounds for dismissal and after opportunity
for hearing.
