CHAPTER 42
(Senate Bill 164)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 5 (h) of
Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and
1965 Supplement), title "Elections", subtitle "Supervisors of Elec-
tions and Employees", to increase the annual salary of the clerk
of the Board of Supervisors of Elections in Worcester County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 5 (h) of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition and 1965 Supplement), title "Elections", subtitle "Su-
pervisors of Elections and Employees", be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

5.

(h) In Worcester County the clerk of the Board of Supervisors of
Elections provided for in this article shall receive an annual salary
of [$700] $800.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1966.

Approved March 23, 1966.

CHAPTER 43
(Senate Bill 172)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 126 (a)
of Article 26 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Supple-
ment), title "Courts", sub-title "Municipal Court of Baltimore
City", providing that the Standard Salary Board shall determine
the salary of the Chief Clerk of the Municipal Court of Baltimore
City, and generally relating to provision therefor.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 126 (a) of Article 26 of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1965 Supplement), title "Courts", sub-title "Municipal Court
of Baltimore City", be and the same is hereby repealed and re-en-
acted, with amendments, to read as follows:

126.

(a) Chief clerk.—There shall be a chief clerk of said court who
shall be appointed by the chief judge. The chief clerk [shall be paid
a salary of $10,000 per annum, and] shall, upon appointment, become
a member of the classified service of this State and the Employees'
Retirement System of this State [.], and shall be paid such salary as
may be determined by the Standard Salary Board.
He shall be respon-
sible for the maintenance, custody and preservation of a full and true
record of all proceedings in said court and for the collection, custody,
accounting and remittance of all fines, penalties, forfeitures, fees and
