Sec. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

CHAPTER 370
(House Bill 169)

AN ACT relating to the Washington Suburban Sanitary District, to
add a new Section 83-56A to the Code of Public Local Laws of
Prince George's County (1963 Edition) and a new Section 73-
43A to the Montgomery County Code (1960 Edition) being Ar-
ticles 17 and 16, respectively, of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, titles "Prince George's County" and "Montgomery
County," subtitle "Washington Suburban Sanitary District," to add
an additional area in Prince George's County to the Washington
Suburban Sanitary District, said additional area being all that
portion of Prince George's County which has not heretofore been
included, with provisions for exception from Sanitary District ad-

valorem taxes of the area in the Belair section of the City of

Bowie, and of the area in the Town of Upper Marlboro, both upon
the conditions recited herein, and with provisions for excepting
all of the new area from any ad valorem tax for bonds previously
issued for the Anacostia River Flood Control and
Navigation
Project.
INCLUDED IN SAID DISTRICT, EXCEPTING THAT
PART OF THE CITY OF BOWIE NOT HERETOFORE
BROUGHT INTO THE SANITARY DISTRICT AND ALSO EX-
CEPTING THE TOWN OF UPPER MARLBORO UNTIL THE
FULFILLMENT OF CERTAIN CONDITIONS RECITED
HEREIN, AND PROVIDING THAT THE NEWLY ADDED
AREA SHALL NOT BE INCLUDED IN THE WASHINGTON
SUBURBAN SANITARY DISTRICT AS A TAXING DISTRICT,
THAT IS, EXCEPTING IT FROM ANY AD VALOREM TAX,
UNTIL SUCH TIME AS SERVICE IS BROUGHT THERETO,
WITH FURTHER EXCEPTIONS FROM ANY AD VALOREM
TAX FOR BONDS PREVIOUSLY ISSUED FOR THE ANA-
COSTIA RIVER FLOOD CONTROL AND NAVIGATION PROJ-
ECT, AND PROVIDING GENERALLY FOR THE APPLICA-
TION TO THE NEWLY ADDED AREAS OF THE LAWS
APPLICABLE TO THE SANITARY DISTRICT.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new Section 83-56A of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Prince George's County (1963 Edition) and a new Section 73-43A
of the Montgomery County Code (1960 Edition), being Articles 17
and 16, respectively, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
titles "Prince George's County" and "Montgomery County," subtitle
"Washington Suburban Sanitary District," be and they are hereby
added to follow immediately after Sections 83-56 and 73-43 of the
respective codes to read as follows:

83-56 A. (73-43A.)

The area herein described is hereby added to the Washington
Suburban Sanitary District created by Chapter 122 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of 1918:
