CHAPTER 307
(House Bill 856)
AN ACT to add new subsection to Section 11 of Article 73B of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1965 Supplement),
title "Pensions," subtitle "In General," said new subsection to be
known as subsection (13), and to follow immediately after sub-
section (12) thereof, providing privileges for certain retired state
employees to undertake employment with the General Assembly
of Maryland.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new subsection be and it is hereby added to Section 11 of Article
73B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition and 1965
Supplement), title "Pensions," subtitle "In General," said new sub-
section to be known as subsection (13), to follow immediately after
subsection (12) thereof, and to read as follows:

(13) Notwithstanding any other provisions of the law to the
contrary, a retired member who is receiving a service retirement
allowance may accept temporary employment with the General As-
sembly of Maryland as an attache, clerk, proofreader, etc., without
any reduction in his retirement allowance; provided he immediately
notifies the Board of Trustees of his intention to accept such employ-
ment and specifies the compensation to be received therefor and
further provided the retirement allowance receivable by him, com-
puted without optional modification, plus the annual remuneration
for the position, shall not exceed in the amount the average final
compensation upon which such retirement allowance was based.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 3(a),
3(r) and 3(y) of Article 25 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1965 Supplement), title "County Commissioners," subtitle "Gen-
eral Provisions," and to repeal and re-enact, with amendments Sec-
tions 3(g) and , 3(I), 3(n), 3(T), 3(U), 3(V), AND 3(AA) thereof
(1957 Edition), extending to the County Commissioners of Washing-
ton County certain powers with regard to pensions, group insurance
and retirement benefits for employees of the county; certain pow-
ers with regard to the prevention of nuisances and the protection
of the public health; certain powers regarding intergovernmental
cooperation and the accepting of State and federal grants; CER-
TAIN POWERS REGARDING TRAILER AND TOURIST
CAMPS, PARKS AND RECREATION; CERTAIN POWERS
