more may levy and pay a sum of money each year toward the cost
of tuition, board, books and other expenses for such number of
students OR GRADUATE STUDENTS of nursing from the respec-
tive political subdivisions as may be selected and appointed from
time to time by the board of county commissioners, county council,
or Mayor and City Council of Baltimore, acting through its Board
of Estimates. Any such appointment shall not be held by the same
student for more than four years. Any student OR GRADUATE
STUDENT receiving such an appointment shall give bond to the
board of county commissioners, county council, or Mayor and City
Council of Baltimore, acting through its Board of Estimates, with
such security as may be approved thereby, that such student OR
GRADUATE STUDENT will reside and practice nursing within the
STATE OF MARYLAND OR THE particular political subdivision
for not less than three years after completing such medical NURS-
ING education.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

CHAPTER 234
(Senate Bill 345)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 281 (c)
of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Supple-
ment), title "Natural Resources", subtitle "Fish and Fisheries",
subheading "Part 2. Tidal Waters; Further Regulations in County-
Waters", to delete a limitation as to certain months of the year
in the permitted use of gill nets in St. Catherine's Sound in St.
Mary's County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 281 (c) of Article 66C of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1965 Supplement), title "Natural Resources", subtitle "Fish
and Fisheries", subheading "Part 2. Tidal Waters; Further Regula-
tions in County Waters", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
281.
(c) It shall be unlawful for any person to set fish traps or nets
or haul seine in the waters of St. Catherine's Sound in the waters of
St. Mary's County, except that the use of gill nets not exceeding a
length of 90 yards shall be permitted [during the months of March,
April and May].
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.
