CHAPTER 211
(Senate Bill 169)
AN ACT to repeal Section 35(a-l) (3) of Article 33 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1965 Supplement), title "Elections", subtitle
"Permanent Registration", and to enact new Section 35(a-l)(3)
in lieu thereof, to stand in the place of the section repealed, to
change provisions for the days and hours for permanent registra-
tion of voters in Calvert County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 35(a-l)(3) of Article 33 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1965 Supplement), title "Elections", subtitle "Permanent
Registration", be and the same is hereby repealed and that new
Section 35(a-l) (3) be and the same is hereby enacted in lieu thereof,
to stand in the place of the section repealed, and to read as follows:
35(a-1).
(3) The Board is authorized to fix the days on which registration
is held under this section, and to set the hours of such registration.
The Board shall as a minimum provide for registration of voters on
at least one Saturday in each month when registration is allowed
under this article.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

CHAPTER 212

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 5 (P) of
Article 25A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Chartered Counties of Maryland", subtitle "Express Powers",
to increase the percentage of indebtedness allowed on the assess-
able base of a chartered county at any one time.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 5 (P) of Article 25A of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1957 Edition), title "Chartered Counties of Maryland", subtitle
"Express Powers", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, and to read as follows:
5 (P).
To provide for the borrowing of moneys on the faith and credit of
the county and for the issuance of bonds or other evidences of in-
debtedness therefor in such sums, for such purposes, on such terms
and payable at such times, and from such taxes or other sources as
may have been or may be provided by or pursuant to local law, sub-
ject to any limitations imposed by the charter adopted by the county
and to the following limitations:
