that the Congress may appropriate sufficient funds and pass pertinent
laws relating to the completion of the Interstate System, now,
therefore,
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new Section 211-N be and it is hereby added to Article 89B
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1964 Replacement Volume and
1965 Supplement) title "State Roads", subtitle "Expenditure of Com-
mission's Funds and Programming and Scheduling of Highway
Projects", to follow immediately after Section 211-M thereof, and
to read as follows:
211-N.
In order that the Members of the General Assembly and the
Executive Department of the State may be furnished with up-to-date
and current information on highway needs and costs, the State Roads
Commission is hereby authorized and directed, beginning with the
calendar year 1968, to submit to the General Assembly and the Gov-
ernor a revised highway needs study. This new study shall include
the revising and updating as to needs, priorities and costs of the
projects included in the Commission's Twenty Year Highway Needs
Study and shall also include necessary projects not included in its
Twenty Year Highway Needs Study. Such updated reports shall be
submitted to the General Assembly and the Executive branch of the
Government on or before February 1 of each two year period on and
after February 1, 1968.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

(Senate Bill 456)
AN ACT to legalize any Replacement Volumes to the Annotated
Code of the Public General Laws of Maryland (1957 Edition),
prepared and published by the Editorial Staff of The Michie Com-
pany, Charlottesville, Virginia, and making each such Replace-
ment Volume evidence of the law.
Whereas, the General Assembly by Chapter 23 of the Acts of
1957 and by successive acts from year to year thereafter has legalized
the 1957 Edition of the Annotated Code of the Public General Laws
of Maryland and successive annual pocket supplements thereto, all
published by The Michie Company; and
Whereas, Because of the volume of amendments affecting some
portions of this Code, The Michie Company has published and will
continue to publish Replacement Volumes which incorporate all the
laws to the date of publication; and
Whereas, It is desirable, that these replacement volumes be le-
galized in evidence in order that they may be used by the Bench and
Bar of Maryland; now, therefore
