Senate Bill No. 273—Howard County—Motor Vehicles

AN ACT to add new Section 73A to the Code of Public Local
Laws of Howard County (1965 Edition, being Article 14 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Howard County," subtitle
"County Commissioners and County Collectors," to follow immedi-
ately after Section 73 thereof, to prohibit burning of automobiles, or
parts thereof, within certain limits of property lines within Howard
County. AND TO PROVIDE PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS
THEREOF.

I have today vetoed Senate Bill 273 and, in accordance with the
provisions of Article 2, Section 17 of the Maryland Constitution, I
am returning the same to you along with my message concerning
this action.

Following the passage of this legislation through both houses
of the General Assembly, its sponsor, Senator James Clark, Jr. of
Howard County, contacted ray office and requested that the matter
be vetoed. It was in compliance with his request that the veto ac-^
tion was taken.
