Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

CHAPTER 739
(House Bill 1128)

AN ACT to add new Sections 46 and 47 to Article 40 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume), title "General
Assembly," to follow immediately after Section 45 thereof and
to be respectively under the new subtitles "Subdistricts for the
Senate" and "Subdistricts for the House of Delegates," to fix the
boundaries of Senatorial and House of Delegates subdistricts in
Anne Arundel and Calvert Counties, to fix the number of Senators
and Delegates elected therefrom and to provide for residency re-
quirements and minimum number of Delegates from such sub-
districts.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Sections 46 and 47 be and they are hereby added to Article
40 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement Volume),
title "General Assembly," to follow immediately after Section 45
thereof and to be respectively under the new subtitles "Subdistricts
for the Senate" and "Subdistricts for the House of Delegates," and
to read as follows:

Subdistricts for the Senate
46.

(a)    Senatorial District No. 6, comprising all of Anne Arundel
and Calvert Counties, is divided into subdistricts for its membership
in the Senate of Maryland, as provided in this section.

(b)    Senatorial District No. 6A is composed of the area within
Anne Arundel County within the following boundaries: Beginning
at the boundary of Anne Arundel County with Baltimore County at
Old Annapolis Road (Route 648), thence southerly on Old Annapolis
Road (Route 648) to its intersection with Furnace Branch Road;
thence southerly on Furnace Branch Road to its intersection with
Ritchie Highway (Route 2); thence southerly on Ritchie Highway
(Route 2) to its intersection with Amberly Road; thence easterly on

Amberly Road to its intersection with Old Annapolis Road (Route

648); thence easterly and southerly on Old Annapolis Road (Route
648) to its intersection with Mountain Road (Route 177) and Jumpers
Hole Road; thence southerly from said intersection on Jumpers Hole
Road to its intersection with Gerhardt Road; thence westerly on

Gerhardt Road to its intersection with Robert Crain Highway (Route
3); thence southerly on Robert Crain Highway (Route 3) to its inter-
section with Generals Highway (Route 178);
THENCE SOUTHER-
LY ON RITCHIE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 2) TO ITS INTERSEC-
TION WITH AMBERLY ROAD, THENCE EASTERLY ON
AMBERLY ROAD TO ITS INTERSECTION WITH OLD ANNAPO-
LIS ROAD (ROUTE 648); THENCE EASTERLY AND SOUTH-
