counting at the conclusion of either each calendar or fiscal year,
and submit a detailed annual report of its activities and financial
standing to the Board of Public Works of Maryland and the Mayor
and City Council of Ocean City.

(i) The Commission shall have the authority to make reasonable
charge for the use and rental of the facilities of the convention hall.

208B.

The Commission, after deducting necessary operation and main-
tenance costs and an amount sufficient to create a reasonable reserve,
shall pay the remaining proceeds from the rental and use of the con-
vention hall to the Board of Public Works, until such time as the
bonded indebtedness as provided for under the provisions of this Act
has been satisfied, and then such proceeds shall be paid to the Mayor
and Council of Ocean City to reimburse it far the land provided for
such convention hall.

Sec. 9. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1,1966.

CHAPTER 723
(House Bill 1217)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 6 of Chap-
ter 708 of the Acts of 1965 to extend the time in which the Mary-
land Academy of Sciences shall present certain evidence to the
Board of Public Works with regard to the funding of a Science
Center.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 6 of Chapter 708 of the Acts of 1965, be and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

Sec. 6. And be it further enacted, That the payment of any funds un-
der the provisions of this Act for the purpose of aiding in the construc-
tion of a Science Center for the Maryland Academy of Sciences, shall
be contingent upon the provision by Maryland Academy of Sciences
of at least an equal and matching fund for this project from private
and other public sources. The said Maryland Academy of Sciences
shall have until June 1, [1967] 1968, to present evidence satisfactory
to the Board of Public Works that it has raised at least this equal
and matching fund for the purpose of aiding in the construction of a
Science Center for the Maryland Academy of Sciences, and that a
site for the Science Center which is mutually suitable to the Board
of Public Works and to the Maryland Academy of Sciences has been
provided by Baltimore City or any other political subdivision. Upon
receiving from the Board of Public Works a certification of such
suitable evidence on or before June 1, [1967] 1968, the Treasurer
of the State is hereby authorized, empowered and directed to proceed
to spend the proceeds of said loan agreeably to the other provisions
of this Act. If such satisfactory evidence of the raising of at least an
