(c) Montgomery County, Maryland, shall be authorized and di-
rected to levy and pay each assessor of Montgomery County a salary
as specified in general pay schedule, Grade 28, as established by the
Personnel Board of Montgomery County, Maryland, from time to
time, including increments for time served and longevity specified
for such grade, provided, however, that service of such assessor prior
to June 30, 1966, as assessor, shall be taken into consideration in
determining the appropriate step within such grade and the salary
payable to each such assessor, and provided further that where the
designation of certified assessment evaluator has been obtained pur-
suant to subsection 237(m) of this article, the salary scale for such
position shall be $500 per annum greater than the appropriate sum
designated for each step within the grade hereinabove in this sub-
section, provided, however, that the portion of said salary to be
paid by the State shall be limited to the amount prescribed in the
schedule set forth in Section 237 of this article.
(d) Montgomery County, Maryland, shall be authorized and di-
rected to levy and pay each assessor's aide of Montgomery County
a salary as specified in general pay schedule, Grade 24, as estab-
lished by the Personnel Board of Montgomery County, Mary-
land, from time to time, including increments for time served and
longevity specified for such grade, provided, however, that service
of such assessor's aide prior to June 30, 1966, as assessor's aid, shall
be taken into consideration in determining the appropriate step
within such grade and the salary payable to each such assessor's
aide, and provided further that where the designation of certified
assessment evaluator has been obtained, pursuant to sub-section
237(m) of this article, the salary scale for such position shall be
$500 per annum greater than the appropriate sum designated for
each step within the grade hereinabove in this subsection, provided,
however, that the portion of said salary to be paid by the State
shall be limited to the amount prescribed in the schedule set forth
in Section 237 of this article.
(e) Montgomery County, Maryland, shall be authorized and di-
rected to levy and pay each senior assessor of Montgomery County
a salary as specified in general pay schedule, Grade 29, as established
by the Personnel Board of Montgomery County, Maryland, from
time to time, including increments for time served and longevity
specified for such grade, provided, however, that service of such
senior assessor prior to June 30, 1966, as senior assessor and as
assessor, shall be taken into consideration in determining the ap-
propriate step within such grade and the salary payable to each
such senior assessor, and provided further that where the designa-
tion of certified assessment evaluator has been obtained pursuant to
subsection 237(m) of this article, the salary scale for such position
shall be $500 per annum greater than the appropriate sum desig-
nated for each step within the grade hereinabove in this subsection,
provided, however, that the portion of said salary to be paid by the
State shall be limited to the amount prescribed in the schedule set
forth in Section 237 of this article.
238A.
(a) The supervisor of assessments of Baltimore County is hereby
authorized to designate one member of his staff as a field supervisor.
