shall be judicially noticed, and may perform such acts, hold such
public hearings, and promulgate such rules and regulations as may
be necessary for the execution of its functions under this subheading.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

(House Bill 644)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 255 of
Article 66½ of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Motor Vehicles," subtitle "Operation of Vehicles upon High-
ways," to insert motor vehicles operating under the jurisdiction
of the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Commission as an
exclusion in the definition of the term "school bus" under the
motor vehicle laws of the State.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 255 of Article 66½ of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Motor Vehicles," subtitle "Operation of Ve-
hicles upon Highways," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:
255.
A motor vehicle having a seating capacity of ten (10) or more
persons and transporting children, students, or teachers to and from
schools or to and from any school activity and not operating under
the jurisdiction of the Public Service Commission, Washington
Metropolitan Area Transit Commission and/or not operated by a
public service corporation furnishing mass transportation in a town
of a population of more than fifty thousand (50,000) inhabitants.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 162 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Dorchester County (1961 Edition,
being Article 10 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland),
title "Dorchester County," subtitle "County Commissioners and
Treasurer," subheading "Board of Estimates," to change the form
of the summary of the expenditures of the County Commissioners
of Dorchester County required to be published at periodic inter-
vals.
